Who is this update for?

If you are using a iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and have experienced CarPlay disconnection with the P2000 unit, this is an update which will fix the CarPlay disconnection issue.

If you are using earlier iPhone 16 15 14 ... you will not need this update, this update does not add any new features.

Instruction for the update:

Please follow this instruction to download the system update file and perform the update to your P2000 unit:

Preparation:

Prepare a 1GB - 32GB(Max) USB stick which is FAT32 formatted.

** if you only have a larger USB stick, please erase the content on the stick and create an active partition not exceeding 32GB and FAT32 format this active partition.

You may need to try with several different USB sticks.

Downloading the system update files:

Please click on the below link to download the appropriate update file for your system.

DO NOT download and use the files which are NOT for your car brand on the P2000.

Once you have download the file, unzip the contents and put the contents into the root directory of your USB stick (include all files and folders).

And then follow this video to perform the update:

IMPORTANT:

Follow the video closely on when to remove the USB stick, do not remove the USB too early or too late. Otherwise the update will fail.

Before updating, take a screen shot of the current P2000>Setting>System page and compare with the newly updated system page to confirm on a successful update.

The waiting time of each session may vary from what is shown in the video, due to USB stick type and file sizes. You may need to wait for up to 2mins before the dialogs (countdown) respond.
Please wait patiently while the P2000 is being updated, do not exit the update or unplug the USB stick while waiting.

You may also refer to this newer video which shows you real world loading times of the update and when to plug in and remove usb stick which is very important.

A successful update will give you a new System Date as shown in the below image:
